Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and invited SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) to bat. SRH openers Wriddhiman Saha and Martin Guptill added 30 runs for the first wicket. Majority of these runs were scored by Guptill who played his natural strokes from the word go. Saha (8 off 9) departed cheaply but Guptill (36 off 19) continued with Manish Pandey (30 off 36). Guptill fell in the sixth over trying to clear the ropes but was caught by Keemo Paul off the bowling of Amit Mishra. Manish Pandey and Kane Williamson (28 off 27) thereafter kept the SRH innings going with one and twos. Pandey and Williamson both departed inside two overs. Vijay Shankar and Mohammad Nabi played little cameos to help SunRisers Hyderabad post 162/8 on the board. For Delhi Capitals, Keemo Paul was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets while Ishant Shrama and Amit Mishra picked two wickets apiece. (LIVE SCORECARD)

IPL 2019 Eliminator Live Score Updates Between Delhi Capitals vs SunRisers Hyderabad, straight from ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Vizag

  • Kane Williamson has introduced Mohammad Nabi in the second over itself. The wicket is two-paced and it is not hard to hit the slow bowlers.

  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar drifts on the leg side and Shikhar Dhawan was quick to latch on to that. He flicks off his pads for a four on the leg side.

  • Shikhar Dhawan plays an elegant cover drive for first boundary of Delhi run chase.

  • Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan are out for Delhi Capitals and Bhuvneshwar Kumar has the ball for SunRisers Hyderabad.

  • Delhi Capitals need 163 to remain in the tournament.

  • Rashid Khan goes for naught. He edged that one straight to keeper.

  • Deepak Hooda treis to sneak a single in form of a bye but Rishabh Pant aims at the non-striker end and the batsman is out. Little confusion as the bowler trying to collect the ball cam in batsman’s way. The umpire is discussing the matter with Shreyas Iyer. After a lot of talk, Hooda has been declared out.

  • Mohammad Nabi perishes after a brief cameo. Coming back to ball it was another off-cutter from Keemo Paul and Nabi fails to read it and hands a simple catch.

  • Keemo Paul makes an excellent comeback as he bowls as brilliant yorker to get away with the free hit.

  • Mohammad Nabi hits the length ball from Keemo Paul for a huge six. Oh dear! it has been called a no ball. Seven runs off that ball. Nabi gets the free hit. Can he make use of it?

  • Keemo Paul starts the last over with a wide. Paul was eyeing the tramline there.

  • Trent Boult gets his man. Vijay Shankar hits that straight to the midwicket fielder. He must be cursing himself as that ball didn’t deserve a wicket. Had it been a few metres away it would have given SRH a four or a six.

  • Vijay Shankar welcomes Trent Boult with a cracking shot. The ball falls inside ropes by an inch or so. He follows that up with another beauty. Shreyas Iyer gets to it but could not keep himself inside ropes, it results in a six.

  • Another short ball from Keemo Paul and Vijay Shankar hits it well in the backward square leg region for a four where Dhawan was only a spectator.

  • Mohammad Nabi plays the length ball from Keemo Paul for a straight six over bowler’s head. He stood his ground and smashed it effortlessly.

  • Vijay Shankar waits for the ball on his backfoot and hoists it over midwicket boundary for a six. That would have hurt Axar Patel as it was the last ball of his quota.

  • New to crease Mohammad Nabi starts with two boundaries off first two deliveries that he has faced. We have seen him play little cameos. Can he do it tonight?

  • Ishant Sharma knocks Kane Williamson’s stumps with a brilliant yorker.

  • Kane Williamson’s good luck continues as he hits the slower one from Ishant Shrama in the midwicket region but the ball falls just short of the Trent Boult who came charging at it. The ball also crosses the fence.

  • Kane Williamson is riding on his luck in this innings. This time his top edge goes away from the short third man fielder.

  • Slower one from Sherfane Rutherford and Kane Williamson hits it in the vacant area for a exquisite four. He played that shot early and that is what went in his favour.

  • Keemo Paul sends Manish Pandey back in the dugout. He was trying to clear the fence but does not get the connection right. Rutherford at long on completes a simple catch.

  • Amit Mishra has bowled beautifully on this wicket and he has contained the SRH batamen. He finishes his quota of four overs and gave just 16 runs and also took crucial wicket of Martin Guptill who was looking dangerous.

  • Axar Patel bowls it short and Manish Pandey cuts it off his backfoot towards point where short third man fielder dives but could not stop it from racing to the fence. Welcome boundary for SRH.

  • Manish Pandey misses the ball and Pant dislodges his bails, shouts for stump chance. The umpire goes upstairs but he is safe.

  • Another outside edge from Kane Williamson and Pant could not catch that. Another chance goes begging for Delhi Capitals.

  • Rishabh Pant drops a tough catch. Kane Williamson tries to play it on the off side for a single but only manages a bottom edge. The ball goes past the stumps very closely. Lifeline for Williamson, will he make it count?

  • Manish Pandey sweeps Amit Mishara ball on the leg side along the ground and in the gap, minimising the risk factor. The fielder in the deep keeps it inside ropes with a brilliant piece of fielding. Pandey completes two.

  • Keemo Paul bowls two consecutive wides. Not going to help his side these extra runs and deliveries.

  • Martin Guptill goes for another big hit, the ball hits the toe end of his bat. He is caught at deep midwicket boundary. Big blow for SunRisers Hyderabad as dangerous Guptill departs after scoring 36 off 19 balls.

  • Manish Pandey joins the party. Not so good bowling option from Ishant Sharma as he goes short and Pandey knew there was no protection in the deep and tries to hook it but only manages a top edge. The ball falls just inches inside boundary rope.

  • Bad effort from Delhi Capitals skipper Shreyas Iyer this time. He was charging towards the ball from mid-off, aiming to run batsman out, but misses it completely, the ball sails to the boundary.

  • Martin Guptill gets on his knees and sweeps the short ball from Axar Patel for a huge six over deep square leg region. He is intimidating the bowlers here, this time he forced Axar to shorten his length by giving him an indication that he will step out.

  • Shreyas Iyer has brought spinner into the attack, probably to take pace off.

  • Saha trying to do a Guptill there and totally miss-times it, the ball went straight in the air and Shreyas Iyer at mid-off catches it without a fuss.

  • Martin Guptill is looking in some touch here as he played two confident shots for consecutive sixes. The first one was hit one-handed while other touched the fence on the full. Great start for SRH.

  • Trent Boult strays away from his line and Martin Guptill was quick to play that towards fine leg region. Ishant Sharma cuts that short metres inside fence and Guptill completes two.

  • Martin Guptill charges down the ground and hits Ishant Shrama’s length ball for straight six down the ground. Confident shot by Guptill. Ishant Sharma ends his over with 8 runs.

  • Young Prithvi Shaw misses the ball that came straight to him and Guptill completes a single. Ishant Sharma is not happy with that.

  • Saha punches that ball from Boult through covers for a four. It raced to the fence like a bullet. Excellent timing by Saha.
